By far the best way to see Norway is by boat, and the Swan certainly does it in style. A popular and welcome visitor to Norway’s west coast, the Swan graces any anchorage or harbour.
Join Swan in the picturesque Ålesund, then spend your week hopping among the many beautiful sheltered islands before arriving in the university city of Trondheim, Norway’s ancient capital and now its 4th biggest town.
The Swan is a sail training vessel, and everyone on board gets their sleeves rolled up to take care of sailing and domestic duties, from skipper to the least experienced. Camaraderie is at its best after a day of sunny cruising, with everyone onboard taking their turn at the helm, perhaps bringing cups of tea up on deck for those on watch, peeling the "tatties" (potatoes) for dinner while watching the awe-inspiring Norwegian scenery pass in the Swan’s wake, ending the day with a hearty meal around the Swan’s large saloon table and an anchor dram or two with your fellow crew members.
You will disembark in Trodheim, unless you have chosen to continue north with Swan, on the next leg of her journey to Lofoten.
