The west coast of Scotland is a fantastic cruising ground due to its teaming wildlife and many choices of scenic harbours and anchorages. We will be heading around the famous Island of Skye and the skipper will choose the ports of call to make use of the wind for the best sailing possible.

Boarding the Swan at 10am in Mallaig, your stay will begin with a comprehensive safety briefing including how to work the lines on deck and set the sails. We will then put this into practice and commence our voyage.

With stunning scenery, anchorages and ports, there is no shortage of places to sail. Therefore, to allow us to make the most of the weather, our itinerary will be set by the skipper at the time, giving the best sail for all on board.

Due to the nature of the area, daily mileages will be relatively short and less exposed to extreme weather, making this trip suitable for novice, as well as more experienced, sailors.

A voyage on Swan is very much a hands-on experience - you are part of her crew, and work as a team to make your voyage happen. All tasks are shared and everyone joins in, from the most to the least experienced. For more details of what to expect on board please refer to our Welcome Aboard leaflet.

Included in voyage

Included in the price of this trip are sailing instruction, accommodation and all meals for the duration of your stay. For further details on what is included, and what to bring with you, please refer to our kit list.

The West Coast of Scotland is teaming with wildlife, so remember your binoculars and camera, to help spot and capture the range of wildlife both off and on land.
