This voyage is an amazing opportunity to circumnavigate Shetland by sea!
You will join the Swan crew in Lerwick for a safety briefing, and introduction to the boat and your fellow crewmates, before heading off for 9 days and nights exploring the stunning Shetland coastline. You will return to Lerwick with new friends and memories, to disembark at 10:00 on Monday 7th June.
The skipper will set a course based on taking best advantage of the weather, wind and tides. You will stop overnight at various places around Shetland, possibly including some of the islands such as Papa Stour, Unst, Yell, Fetlar, Skerries or Whalsay. Mainland points of interest or overnight stops could include Sumburgh Head, St Ninians, Eshaness, Collafirth and many more.
Whilst taking in the spectacular views and wildlife the northmost UK islands have to offer, you and your crew mates will work as a team to make your voyage happen. You will be shown how to work the lines, hoist the sails and even take a turn on the helm. All tasks are shared, and everyone joins in, from the most to the least experienced.
