The Swan Trust SCIO are seeking a qualified Skipper to join the crew of Swan LK243 for an exciting summer season in 2024. Join our experienced Mate and volunteer crew for an adventurous and rewarding summer of sail training and public cruises.
The right candidate will be someone keen on adventure who understands the importance and value of sail training to our younger sailors, and the quality of experience for our public sailing trips.
The Swan is a beautiful, ideal sized boat for visiting small anchorages, but large enough to be a joy to sail. The vessel handles well in livlier weather and lighter winds, and following her full restoration in 1996 is a tried and tested boat in all weathers.
The onboard atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with crew ensuring all passengers and colleagues are fully immersed in the sailing experience and social aspects of being aboard.
The start date of 19th April will inlcude time to become familar with the boat and the crew before the first of the public sails in May.
