Pupils and teachers from Sound Primary School, in Lerwick, recently enjoyed half day sailing trips on Swan - gaining experience in sailing the boat and learning about Shetland's maritime heritage.

Shetland’s sail training vessel Swan LK243 has finished the 2024 season, having helped some 140 young Shetlander’s to experience sailing onboard the restored ex-herring drifter, in addition to 220 others.

Over 150 people were welcomed on board Swan recently as the boat opened the decks as part of the national Doors Open Day campaign.
