Tall Ships 2011 entrant SWAN, Shetland’s restored herring drifter, has been awarded the National Historic Ships, Flagship Award 2011 which carries a prize of £1000.

On Monday 20 September the SWAN embarked from Aberdeen, bound for Macduff, where she is now in the Macduff Shipyard for a major refit.

Captain Michael Gray, who retired from the post of chair person of The Swan Trust after 10 years.
