WE NEED YOUR VOTE! Lerwick Community Council are setting aside £10K to be handed over to local community projects.
They will let the people of Lerwick vote for the ideas they think are worth funding.
Swan has applied to Loot for Lerwick for funding towards a new INMARSAT C system so we can continue to operate as a sail training and charter vessel, offering voyages to Scandinavia and beyond. Without the new system we would be restricted to operating within 60 miles of a safe harbour and unable to cross the North Sea or west to Faroe. Trips like Nordic Sail and The Tall Ships Races would simply not be possible.
Voting takes place this Saturday 21 May from 10am. If you are aged 8+ and live in Lerwick you are eligible to vote.
Please come and show your support!
